Jinja is located about 81 kilometers east of Kampala city. Once a flourishing commercial city in Uganda, the town was established in early 1907 during colonial rule. Jinja is known as the “Adventure Capital of East Africa” attracting thousands of both local and foreign tourists given it’s abundance of thrilling adventure activities worthy to explore on a Uganda safari. Detailed itinerary
Day1: Transfer from Kampala to Jinja
After having your early breakfast, your driver guide picks you up for a transfer to Jinja City. Delight in your first stopover at Ssezibwe falls for great memories of a guided nature walk as you adventure the natural wonders of this place including the mesmerizing waterfall. It is paramount to note that, Ssezibwe is an exciting cultural site for the Buganda kingdom popular for its interesting legendary myths.
After the awesome experience, transfer to Mabira forest national park and enjoy an optional guided forest walk. Expect to sight some primates like monkeys, birdlife, many tree species and many more attractions.
Proceed with the journey to jinja city driving through tea and sugar cane plantations along the road. Upon reaching Jinja city, take a tour to Bujagali falls and delight in a boat cruise to the source of Nile. The Boat cruise takes you to explore the Samuka Island and delight in great leisure time as you admire the beautiful sceneries of the river. Later in the evening hours, transfer to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: White water rafting
Today, after a delicious breakfast, your guide drives you to the rafting point for short briefing about the activity. White water rafting gives you a chance to enjoy the adventurous grade 5 rapids that features stunning leaps and drops on the Nile river. After the unbeatable adventure, join your driver guide for a transfer back to Kampala. Arriving in the evening hours, the company driver guide drops you at your hotel of residence or Entebbe airport to catch up with your flight.
